I
managed to find a few Grass Carp living in an overgrown stretch of a Fen
Drain and extracted thin one at 12lb 14oz from the shoal. The smallest
of them all too- but still the biggest I've ever caught.
|
Nice.
|
First
ever river carp from the Nene- little did I know what was to follow in
years to come.
|
Moonrise on the North Bank of
the Nene.
|
Lovely summer evening after carp
on the Nene.
|
Sim
the match angler with a 27lb Mirror he managed to beat on his feeder
rod- a job well done I'd say.
|
My first big Carp from a river
at 28lb 2oz, and I was cock and, quite literally, a-hoop with that one.
|
Perfect
Common from the river margins during a rare busy night.
|
Like it's carved from a piece of
mahogany. Perfection.
|
Bit of a freaky looking Mirror.
|
24lb Common that brought a run
of blanks to an end. (Hence the smile).
|
Lovely
paddle-tailed 20 plus Mirror from the margins.
|
A
dream come true for me. A 35lb 12oz Common taken in the early hours of
an October morning from the river. All the blank nights were suddenly
worth it.
|
The sun dips over the far bank
of the Nene, meaning that the boats will finally tie up for the night.
About bloody time.
