My good
mate Steve with a Barbel from the Severn, part of an 11 fish catch- taken in a matter of
hours after waiting all day for his first bite. Once they found it, they were mad for it.
Returning a small Severn Barbel to the swim at
Atcham.
A
5lb 4oz Chub fluked on the meat while Barbel fishing at Atcham on the River Severn. Still
my biggest from the Severn.
The Middle Severn. Heaven? Well it's nice enough, that's for
sure.
Stalking chub- spot on, and a favourite place to be at one
time, until overnight it changed from this....
....To
this....The effects of sensible environmental management by the local river authority.
Begs the question "Why?" doesn't it?
Part of another
summer catch of Severn Barbel. Nice sunburn too.
A
magic day at Atcham...7lb 14oz and the best Barbel of a catch of 18 taken as the sun
beat down all day long. Some days are just perfect....
Here's
a 5lb 12oz Welland Chub stalked on corn despite the river authority's attempt to turn the
place into a battlefield. Why it was still in the swim and feeding is anyone's guess.
Three big 4's in three chucks from a breadmash baited swim. Excellent
fishing in my book!
Rambozo with a
stalked summer Chub.
Oh dear.
Like
an Easter egg with fins.
This daft pike chased this 4lb Chub straight into the
landing net!
The Upper Welland at dusk.
Summer afternoon
Chub on the floating crust.
Three
cute Chub caught on trotted flake and the pin. I nearly fell off me creel with excitement.
The rod is strictly carbon though.
5lb
7oz Welland Chub from an after work winter session.
A
brace of nice 4 pounders on freelined bread from the Welland in high summer. Really lovely
fishing, especially when the sun is shining.
Sash with a cute
little Trent Barbel.
Summer chub on darkness. Actually it was more likely to have
been on bread or corn or something.
